Elise was born in St. Petersburg, Florida, but ended up in Texas by the time she finished high school. She earned three degrees from Texas Tech, all in the area of physics.  She met her husband David while in grad school, and they have lived in Plainview since 1993. They have three grown sons, with one daughter-in-law.

Elise is a professor of math and physics at Wayland Baptist University, and enjoys reading cozy books, sci-fi, and Agatha Christie, plus watching Marvel and DC movies.

Karen was born in Cleethorpes, England, about 50 miles from Nottingham Forest. She moved to Germany when she was very young, and completed a paralegal degree in a German law firm. She has worked for the Berlin Brigade Army Motor pool, Edward Jones Financial Services, two law firms (Hoskin Farina, and Dufford Waldeck) and was the main operator for Columbia Theological Seminary, in Atlanta, GA (in fact, you can still hear her voice recorded if you call the switchboard and  get  voicemail). She LOVES dogs, and is very involved in the Paws Pet Adoption center here in Plainview, and works as the Church Administrator and Bookkeeper.

She is married to the Pastor, and has one son, Wiley, two dogs, and three cats.
